ABT Accredited – Kelly Ashby Nail Academy

On this course, you will learn how to perform a professional Pedicure treatment confidently. 

Before attending the training session, you will need to study a manual. The course includes both theory and practical elements during a six-hour training day, teaching you everything required to carry out a professional pedicure service.

We keep our pedicure training deliberately small, with a maximum of two students per session. This allows us to give you our full attention throughout the day, adapt the training to your pace, and make sure you feel confident with every step. As a bonus, each student both gives and receives a full professional pedicure  during the course — so you leave not only fully trained, but having experienced the treatment from a client’s perspective too.

Once successfully completed, you will receive a Kelly Ashby Nail Academy ABT-accredited certificate.

You will learn how to:

• Prepare the treatment area
• Carry out a client consultation
• Perform safe natural nail preparation
• Complete a dry pedicure (if applying Gel polish)
• File and shape the nails
• Maintain cuticles
• Step by step pedicure routine
• Provide after-care advice

You will also study:

• Relevant hygiene, health & safety
• Sterilisation and care of equipment
• Anatomy & physiology relevant to nail services
• Contra-indications
• Contra-actions
• Non-medical nail conditions
• Equipment and products

Requirements

• Please come to training with clean, natural nails, as students will be working on each other.
• No models are required.

Kit Information

A kit is not provided, but we will supply you with a full kit list. This course is unbranded – you are free to choose the professional brand you prefer. However, it is essential that you bring:

• The complete system for your chosen brand
• The correct curing lamp recommended by that manufacturer

By booking a training course with Kelly Ashby Nail Academy, you agree to the following terms. All training fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if cancellation is made less than seventy two hours before the scheduled course date. Places are limited and bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Training dates, times and locations will be confirmed by email. Certificates are issued on successful completion of the course. The academy reserves the right to reschedule training where necessary.
